Springtime Fun on the Lake

It is hard to believe that just 7 days after it snowed the temps were back in the low 70s! We were all itching to take the boat out for a ride and we had so much fun! The kids really enjoyed being out on the water again.

Here is the infamous waterfall on Lake Jordan. It is a huge hangout in the summertime but rarely has water coming over it anymore except for when we've had quite a bit of rain.

A place we call "Sugar Loaf Hill" is still available if you know anyone looking to move to the lake. It a gorgeous home and ready for a family to love! Let me know if you need more info! To see inside click HERE.

Sink Bath

I had the bright idea to give Owen a bath in the sink on Saturday. What a mess! He had a blast though!

Wild Man Mercer

Watch out! He is on the move!

I can't seem to get him to crawl on his hands and knees but as you can see here that definitely doesn't stop him from getting what he wants!

Owen's Baptism

March 8, 2009 marked a very special day in Owen's life - this was the day he received the sacrament of baptism. It was a beautiful day and everything was perfect. Lots of family and friends joined us at the 9:30am service. My sweet friend, Suzanne Williams, was on hand to help with the photography and my dad videoed the service. Aunt Kaye provided a delicious lunch for everyone back at her house afterwards. We are truly blessed!

Katelyn Update

With Owen discovering new things everyday and changing so fast I feel like sometimes Katelyn doesn't get the attention she deserves here on the blog. I thought I would do a quick "Katelyn Update" for the family. She will be 4 in May and smart as a whip! She absolutely LOVES school and is soaking everything up like a sponge. I am amazed daily as she goes around spelling out the words she sees. She has been into rhyming words lately and if you give her a word she likes to think up all the words that rhyme with it. I honestly about fell out of my chair the other morning when she asked me how to spell my name and proceeded to show me this!! OMG! Is that normal?

She hasn't quite gotten her own name down yet but I was so impressed with her lettering on mine! She loves taking dance and going to choir practice each week. I keep thinking that next summer I need to sign her up for Camp Shakespeare for some real acting lessons. She is such a DRAMA QUEEN - might as well channel some of that into something useful! Our little girl is growing up right before our eyes. It is truly amazing to watch her blossom. Oh, did I mention how much she LOVES her little brother?!?

We love you little girl! Thank you for making us so proud!

Pink Eye - Round 2

I got so many comments about posting Katelyn's pink eye that I couldn't let poor little Owen go unnoticed! :) My motto is "If it's not on the blog then it didn't happen!" - well in reason of course! Anyhow, sure enough about a week after Katelyn got over her bout with Pink Eye, Owen woke up with a swollen eye of his own. Thankfully I was able to start him on the drops immediately and it only lasted about two days. Be gone Pink Eye!!
